The works of art I create vary from phase to phase in my life.
I use the medium to discuss the world in which we live. Social culture contributes to everything we do. I try to create things that give people something to give thought and consideration to that they can actually do something about.
The techniques vary depending on the series or specific work.
Some of the styles and images are created using techniques that include painting, drawing, sculpture and assemblage. But really, everything beautiful or created from a beautiful place or intention, is art. I just use my gift to help people know how to apply arts and culture to their life and surroundings to encourage learning, understanding, meaning and personal peace.
Art is not just a hobby or a past time for professionals. Artists create the things that not only define culture, but also engage the people and the things people do. I am also compelled to believe it has a healing component.
Spiritual, emotional, psychological and more.
Art is suppose to make you feel something, see something, experience something.
It’s a very intellectual skill that has a dimensional conclusion that can be used in many ways to learn, educate, train, entertain and inform.
I use it as a transferable skill for the people and the world in which we all share.
I try to make things so simple and beautiful that the pieces just keep on giving.
It took a while to decide what I really wanted to say and what actually needed to be said. That’s what the “art world” refers to as “finding your voice”.
I worked to create things that are more than art. Simple, beautiful and unique. So we can engage in what we already know, or don’t know, about the past and where things came from, where we actually are in the present and awareness to be ready for where we should head going forward.

Learn MoreThe Color Line: Rachel Dolezal: When Whites Not Right by Reggie Radney Title: Woman With Red Flower by Reggie Radney This is a painting from a series created years ago about specific issues in regard to mixed race people. The painting reminds me of the Rachael Dolezal situation . The original caption in draft for was as follows: There is no monolithic image of a black woman. Some are so light they appear white(Caucasian). Some are so dark people assume they are black(African descent). Some are bi-racial/multi racial/multi-ethnic but they are all beautiful in their own unique way. Much conflict has been made over these issues. Many have been conflicted about “acting black enough, white enough, light enough, good enough, right enough. When Whites Not Right by Reggie Radney I suspect everyone from the shrinks, parents, politicians and everyday people will be interested to know what is going on with Rachel Dolezal. She’s the leader of the Spokane NAACP, and a woman we now know for certain is a white female who identifies herself as black. And who has also somehow managed to come up with good skin color and negroid hair that sells her case pretty good, at least visually. I want to know why no one is making an admission that there is more going on. They are using her to make artists look crazy and out of their minds. I don’t know how many people know but she’s an incredibly talented artist and she has managed to stir up a controversy for doing something that not many white women do. She...
Learn More©© What The Bed Said Published by Reggie Radney Friday, May 15, 2015 Let’s talk about the bed. What exactly is it? Is it a place to rest? An enticement tool or device? A crime scene? Set design? Place of healing? Place for religious procreation? The bed is more complicated than people realize. I think everyone loves a comfortable and cozy place to relax and rest. The main place people do that is in the bedroom, or wherever there is a bed. You can sleep comfortably in many other ways and on many other sleeping places or spaces, but the main place is the bed. In an ideal situation when we think about the ultimate place of rest, we think about about a mattress, headboard and footboard that’s held together by a frame of some kind. We use and/or share this sleep furnishing as a resting place. The bedding industry specifically focuses on trying to give people the ultimate resting and sleeping experience. They sell not only the bed, but all kinds of accessories for the bed and bedroom to set the tone or atmosphere that those that occupy, own it or otherwise use it, seek. Beds can come in all shapes and sizes. All kinds of things happen in beds. Nightmares, snoring, slobber etc, and really, just about anything you can imagine. I’ve always been kind of strange when it comes to bedding arrangements, and for good reason. Recently there was news coverage on a most unusual subject. They were discussing what the way people sleep together in bed says about their relationship. They showed an image of the...
